Women Who Build: Haley Herridge

Welcome to Le Femme Foundry, where we celebrate women breaking barriers and shaping the future of their industries. This week, we’re excited to feature Haley Herridge—a passionate home chef, recipe creator, and lifestyle influencer whose journey combines heart, hustle, and a love for family and food.

Based in Arkansas, Haley is the creative mind behind the popular “Kitchen Happy” meal plan and a winner of Netflix’s Easy Bake Battle. With her husband Jake, and her four children by her side, Haley brings warmth and authenticity to every recipe and story she shares.

Haley’s love for cooking began as a child, standing on a bench beside her mom and grandmothers, and has grown into a dream career that inspires thousands. In October 2021, she realized a lifelong goal by competing—and winning—on Easy Bake Battle, all while 20 weeks pregnant with her twin boys. Through her recipes, tips, and heartfelt glimpses into her life, Haley continues to bring joy and inspiration to kitchens everywhere.

Can you remember the first moment you thought, “Oh, this is going to work“?

Early on, as soon as I started receiving heartfelt messages from followers expressing how my recipes simplified their time in the kitchen and brought joy to their families, I knew I was on the right path. Knowing that my content was making a tangible difference in others’ lives affirmed my purpose. It reinforced my belief that content should serve a purpose beyond self-expression. I feel called to focus on providing value to my followers—whether by simplifying or inspiring in the kitchen, fostering meaningful connections with family and friends virtually, or offering practical lifestyle tips. My goal is to create content that resonates with real people and makes a positive difference in their lives. My page is dedicated to inspiring, encouraging, and teaching.

What’s the riskiest thing you’ve done in business?

Stepping into the public eyes by competing on a national platform Netflix’s Easy Bake Battle. It exposed me to a wider audience and potential criticism. However, embracing this challenge allowed me to showcase my culinary skills and live out my dream I’ve had since I was 5 years old.

If your business were a song, what would be its anthem?

It might be cheesy, but “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey is the first song that popped into my head. It encapsulates my entrepreneurial journey. The song’s message of perseverance and holding onto dreams mirrors my experiences in building a brand and overcoming challenges along the way.

Did you ever consider throwing in the towel? If so, why didn’t you?

Yes, there were moments of doubt, especially after facing multiple rejections over 6 years applying to cooking shows. However, my unwavering passion for cooking and the support of my family kept me going. Each setback was a lesson that lit the fire in me a little more.

Who has mentored you and how have they shaped your view on business and being a female founder?

My mom Cindy, Nana, and grandmother all made an impact on me from a young age. I watched them on a little stool in the kitchen soaking up a lot of knowledge from these amazing women. A lot of fabulous icons in food like Juila Child and Ina Garten are also quite the inspiration, as well as new icons like Alex Snodgrass at The Defined Dish and Lizi Heaps at the Food Nanny.

What’s one thing about your day-to-day as a founder that would surprise people?

Many might be surprised by the extent of the multitasking involved. From developing recipes and filming content to managing collaborations, all while attending to the needs of four young children, which is my priority, favorite job and hardest job of all!  Each day required meticulous planning and adaptability.

How do you celebrate wins, both big and small, in your business?

Celebrations often involve quality time with my family and close friends, such as a special meal or outing together. Sharing these moments with the ones closest to me reinforces the support system that makes all of this possible.

What’s a skill you didn’t realize you’d need as a founder, but now consider indispensable?

Support. Surround yourself with people that build you up, encourage your dreams through the successes and failures. My husband Jake, close family and friends have been that for me , and it has been a crucial element in my success.

How do you define and measure success?

I define success as living a life that honors God, where I can use my talents and opportunities to serve others, inspire creativity, and bring joy. Success means balancing my personal and professional roles with integrity and love being present for my family while sharing my passion for food, creativity, and connection with the world.

What’s your guilty pleasure after a long day of hustle?

Get the kids down, take a hot bath, and then relax with my husband Jake with a good movie, or catch up on our day with a warm drink and a little snacky. It’s the simple things in this crazy wonderful season.

How do you set boundaries between your personal life and business when everything feels intertwined?

It’s simple. Prioritize what matters most and the content, creativity, and big dreams will flow. I prioritize God, my family, close relationships, my health and I am more successful at my job and less stressed.
